Established in 1966 by the Rosminian fathers and on the initiative of Michele Federico Sciacca, based in the Palazzo Bolongaro or "Villa Ducale" of Stresa, the "International Center of Rosminian Studies".
The centre offers visitors and scholars from all over the world: a Museum of Rosminian memories; the room where Rosmini died on July 1, 1855; the Historical Archive of the Institute of Charity; a Library of about one hundred and ten thousand volumes, among the most complete in Piedmont on the works of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries; a publishing house (Sodalitas) and a guesthouse capable of hosting scholars.
The People who work there, also take care of two periodicals (Rosminian Journal of Philosophy and Culture, Charitas), the critical edition of Rosmini's works, the promotion of Rosminian thought in the world. The venue also hosts conferences and courses of high culture, including the courses of the "Symposia" which are well known and attended by more than 200 scholars from all over the world annually.
